Monthly Club Minutes
02 January 2012
Location: Rudy’s BBQ located at HY. 281N. & Nolana
•Officers Present: Dr. John Rohn(President), John Pief(Vice President), Rick Michelena (Treasurer), Edward Rivas (Secretary)
•Dr. John Rohn called the meeting to order at 6.58P.M.
•There were 25 members present, and 2 guests, including new member Joe Zvada. Welcome to the club Joe!
•The minutes for the month of December, 2011 were accepted as read and posted on the website.
Treasurer’s Report: The Club unanimously accepted the treasurer's report as reported and submitted.
Business
•The Tejas RC club rules were revisited. Please take a few minutes and go over them if you are not familiar with them. CLUB RULES
•A motion was made and passed; signs will be posted at the flying site that state:
No Alcohol Allowed, No Firearms Allowed, and Only Current AMA Members are Allowed to Fly.
•A motion was made and passed; All members must take a proactive approach when we see a questionable situation arise. Paying your 2012 dues commits you to doing so.
• A motion was made and passed, an official roster will be placed in the frequency pin box, and only those who are on the list have the privilege to use the facilities
•Let us help this hobby grow, if you see someone in need of help, please lend a helping hand, it works both ways. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask, we will gladly help you.
•Just a friendly reminder: When addressing an issue with a fellow flyer, please deal with it in a civil manner. Pull them off to the side and lecture them in private to avoid a potentially embarrassing situation.
•A motion was made and passed for us to host a Fun Fly/Fly-in on the 21st of January. The 28th will be reserved as a backup date in case of bad weather
A food committee was formed amongst Eddie, Jim, thingy, Carl, and Gene. Please try to make it out to the flying site this Saturday (Jan 7th) so we can decide what we want to serve, and any other detail further. If you can help please let us know, any help is greatly appreciated. We can take turns cooking, etc.. so that way we all have an equal chance to participate in the activities

•Debra Cleghorn of Model Aviation News, received a documented build thread on Rick’s latest project, the conversion of a Stik , in to a low wing Stick aka Sweet n Low. She liked it so much it will be published soon in Model Aviation News…. See pic >Rick's Big Stik
